How do you help someone when every time you try and explain that its not necessary to feel the way they do they take it as being condescending and mean?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? How do you properly explain the futility of worry or fear without triggering an emotional response from them? what am I supposed to do? Let them just be sad all day until I watch them finally decide to push it away with some distraction like social media or drugs or whatever? How can I watch them do that when I realize that its just a bandaid??? every time i’ve tried to explain this I’m just being a condescending prick basically. And I love this person. How can you watch your significant other be sad for fleeting reasons when you fully realize that its insane psychic self mutilation going on there and you are just not allowed to try to bring that to their attention because its mean and condescending. help me. help. help. help. help. please.
